Meat Bridge Books Sync — Privacy Policy

Who we are. Meat Bridge LLC, Montana, USA (info@meatbridge.com). Meat Bridge Books Sync ("the tool") is an internal application that Meat Bridge LLC uses to record its own accounting transactions in its own QuickBooks Online company.

What data the tool accesses. Through the QuickBooks Online Accounting API, the tool reads and writes accounting records in Meat Bridge LLC's QuickBooks company: customers, vendors, products and services, classes, accounts, invoices, payments, expenses, attachments and financial reports. This data belongs to Meat Bridge LLC.

What the tool does not do. The tool does not collect data from members of the public, does not connect to QuickBooks companies owned by anyone other than Meat Bridge LLC, does not sell or share QuickBooks data with third parties, and does not use QuickBooks data for advertising or profiling.

Where data is stored. OAuth tokens and local working files are stored on Meat Bridge LLC computers in the United States with file permissions restricted to the operating user. Bank and card statement exports used to categorize expenses are processed locally.

Retention and deletion. Local working files are kept only as long as needed for bookkeeping and tax records. Access can be revoked at any time by disconnecting the app in QuickBooks Online (Apps > My Apps), which invalidates the tokens.

Security. API access uses OAuth 2.0 over HTTPS. Client secrets and tokens are never committed to source control or shared.
